Our History
Our History
Tyndale Christian School is named after William Tyndale, one of the early translators of the Bible into English.
In the same way that William Tyndale was determined everyone should have access to the Bible in their own language, our School is determined to provide a high quality, holistic Christian education that is affordable and accessible to everyone.
1991
In 1991, the Emmanuel Christian Schools and Ministry church board believed Strathalbyn would benefit from a Christian environment for children to flourish and grow not only academically, but spiritually.
Their vision resulted in the doors of the school, formerly Murraylands Christian College, opening in 2000.
2015
In January 2015, Tyndale Christian School took over the ownership and governance of Murraylands Christian College in Strathalbyn and Murray Bridge.
Tyndale Christian School Strathalbyn and Tyndale Christian School Murray Bridge opened their doors in January 2015.
Tyndale is now known as the Tyndale Group of Schools.
Tyndale Christian School is a founding member of Christian Schools Australia (CSA) and a member of The Association of Independent Schools of South Australia (AISSA).
2024
In 2024, the three Tyndale schools, plus Harvest Christian College, joined the Tyndale Group of Christian Schools (TGCS).
