Year 12 Captain’s Focus – Bringing the Community Together

“Be a part of the school, don’t just attend it.”

Student Leadership at Tyndale provides students with the opportunity to build community, grow as a leader and leave behind a legacy. This educational offering challenges students to build respect, integrity, service and excellence (R.I.S.E) building character whilst in a secure and supportive environment.

In Year’s 7 and 12, students can apply for a leadership role where they answer a number of questions and then have an interview with two teachers and the principal.

This year’s Year 12 Captains, Denisha and Tamika would like to “serve the community and be a good example for other students”. The girls want to implement their ideas which are focused on bringing the school community together by continuing the Chapel band and the Working Bee.

The Working Bee allows students and their families to participate in the upkeep on the school and by painting, weeding and looking after things that need care.

Denisha and Tamika’s words of wisdom to younger students is “be a part of the school, don’t just attend it.
