2 YEAR – 5 YEAR-OLDS

Our Early Learning Centre is an amazing first step for your child’s educational journey at Tyndale. We offer a play-based, inquiry-driven programme where children from the age of 2 are encouraged to explore, discover, create, connect and belong.

WARM CHRISTIAN ENVIRONMENT 

Our highly skilled and qualified team of Early Childhood teachers and educators provide a warm Christian environment where your child’s natural curiosity and joy of learning are encouraged to flourish as they create their own learning journey towards formal schooling in Foundation and beyond.

We truly believe that every child is a blessing and it is our joy and honour to help them become who they were created to be.

With an abundance of indoor and outdoor spaces, children are encouraged to set their own learning goals, pursue their own interests and to build strong relationships with peers and educators through role-play, nature play, self-directed learning experiences and participation in structured group routines.

As children progress into their Kindergarten year they are encouraged to refine their investigation, problem-solving and collaboration skills through explicit engagement in pre-literacy, numeracy and critical thinking activities.

PREPARING YOUR CHILD 

Preparing your child for the academic, social, and physical demands of school life is just a small part of the life-enriching programme that we offer.

In line with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), the national curriculum for preschools, we scaffold your child to develop a strong sense of identity and belonging, experience a positive sense of wellbeing and become a powerful communicator.

We understand that learning is a lifelong endeavour and that children, adults and communities thrive in an environment where they feel connected and known so the Early Learning Centre works closely with the School to establish this strong sense of belonging ahead of a formal transition process that ensures both school and children are ready for the changes ahead.

HOURS

Opening hours:

• 7:30am – 5:30pm, Monday to Friday for 49 weeks per year

Our preschool programme runs from:

• 8:45am – 3:15pm during School terms.

Your child can attend as many days as you require. We recommend at least 15 hours per week for a child in their official pre-school year.

SUBSIDY

Our Early Learning Centre is approved by the Australian Government and you may be eligible for the Child Care Subsidy. This subsidy is paid directly to childcare services to assist families with their childcare fees.
