Senior School

Year 10 - Year 12

Our Senior School consists of Year 10, 11 and 12 with students encouraged to strive for educational excellence, endeavouring to achieve to the best of their ability. Our Senior School students have the positive support of committed teachers in small, focused classes. Students benefit from the close attention that small classes afford and are well prepared for the rigour of further study at tertiary level, or entry into the workplace. Students also enjoy the pastoral care and support during these pressure-filled final years of their schooling.

Tyndale Christian School Strathalbyn offers a broad curriculum that stimulates and encourages students in their particular area of interest. In addition to subjects from an academic nature students have access to Vocational courses to support their SACE qualification. Performing Arts, including Drama productions, Musicals and Music performances enrich our students’ school experience.

Student leadership is an important part of our Senior School. Students serve the School Community through leadership roles comprising of Prefects and House Captains. Our student leaders take a leading role in organising events and fundraisers as part of their roles.

Our students have several opportunities to extend their learning outside the classroom with camps and excursions enriching their curriculum. We offer several sports opportunities including our School based athletics and cross country carnivals and we belong to the South Australian Christian Schools Sports Association (SACSA). Here we compete in athletics, cross country, football, netball, soccer volleyball and basketball on a competitive basis. We also have teams competing in the Secondary Schools Sport in South Australia (SSSSA) competitions.

Students have the opportunity to join mission trips to Kenya and Sri Lanka. These life changing experiences impact students by enabling them to gain a deeper understanding of all the wonderful opportunities we have in Australian society. Senior students can also participate in the Kokoda trail expedition.

Senior students at Tyndale Christian School Strathalbyn have the full support of a close knit and caring team of staff who are committed to helping them set and achieve their goals and bring this stage of their learning journey to a rewarding conclusion ready to be a person of influence and engage life from a Christian Worldview.
