Year 7 - Year 9
Our Middle School is part of the Secondary School and caters for students in Years 7 to 9 providing a specific programme aimed at meeting the particular needs of students in this age group. We focus on a diverse programme to support our students during this time of rapid change in their lives. Our Middle School includes a pastoral care programme to support them as they enter Secondary School in Year 7.
The School strives to provide great diversity in education, with programmes designed to inspire and challenge our students. However, in amongst all the activity, we remain committed to support our students to become Christian leaders for tomorrow's generation. During this time in their lives, students develop their sense of identity, their faith and their personal responsibilities towards God and others. We walk alongside them to enable them to understand their faith journey.
Tyndale Christian School Strathalbyn has well developed facilities to not only support the delivery of a core academic curriculum but to ensure that the hands on section of our curriculum are well supported. Our newly renovated gymnasium, woodwork facility, art room, music room, home economics kitchen and well equipped laboratories support the delivery of a challenging curriculum.
Our students have several opportunities to extend their learning outside the classroom with camps and excursions enriching their curriculum. We offer several sports opportunities including our School based athletics and cross country carnivals, and we belong to the South Australian Christian Schools Sports Association (SACSA). Here we compete in athletics, cross country, football, netball, soccer volleyball and basketball on a competitive basis. We also have teams competing in the Secondary Schools Sport in South Australia (SSSSA) competitions.
Our Middle School programme is designed to keep students of this age interested and focused on their learning while helping them to understand their abilities and explore their dreams in readiness for entry into the Senior School programme and its various pathways.
